Physicians Mutual is hiring a full-time Insurance Platform Configuration Engineer.  A subject matter expert on the administration of insurance systems such as Commissions, Claims and Policy Administration Systems. 

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a combination of technical knowledge (systems integration) and business knowledge (insurance products and functions) to provide directional guidance for business decisions. This includes providing input into insurance product design and business processes to ensure compatibility with platform functionality. 
• Manages all system configuration tasks in a multi-team, cross-functional project implementation environment. 
• Responsible for the development and execution of testing strategies.
• Acts as a liaison with vendor.

• BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and business experience.
• 3+ years of insurance related experience.
• 3+ years of IT related experience. 
• Working technical and business knowledge of insurance operational systems (policy administration, claims, billing, etc.) and insurance products (health, life, and annuity).  

Preferred:

• Education coursework in Information Technology and/or post-graduate degree or coursework.
• Previous hands-on experience with enterprise platform Commissions, Claims or Policy Administration Systems
• Previous experience in business systems analysis, product/systems implementation, & experience within the testing domain. 
• Previous working experience with SQL.
