Physicians Mutual  is seeking motivated students who are passionate about emerging technologies and eager to gain real-world experience in software testing and quality assurance. Our internship program offers hands-on training, personalized mentorship, and meaningful project work to help you grow your skills and make an impact. 

As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a dedicated quality assurance team responsible for the testing, validation, and support of our production systems. These teams operate within an Agile/Scrum environment, following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to ensure high-quality releases, continuous improvement, and reliable system performance. This is a 12-month, onsite internship opportunity.

• College Junior or Senior - Preferred
• Completion of at least two computer programming courses with a grade of “B” or higher
• Strong interest in developing skills in software testing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Java, Python, and SQL - Preferred
• Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycles - Preferred 
• Theoretical knowledge of testing approaches (unit, integration, acceptance, etc.) - Preferred 
• Exposure to DevOps tools and cloud technologies - Preferred 
• Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, or Excel VBA macros - Preferred 
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus - Preferred
