Physicians Mutual is looking for a Financial Support Analyst who with the guidance of Accounting management will be responsible for establishing and adhering to Model Audit Rule controls. Supports all activities related to the implementation and utilization of a computer-based system to provide required planning, production, inventory control, distribution and accounts payable for all Company areas.  Builds and maintains system reports for various Company areas. Works with internal and external sources to resolve questions concerning inventory balances. Works closely with the Accounting Support staff to establish process improvements and reporting. Performs miscellaneous accounting duties.

• Establish and maintain internal controls in alignment with Model Audit Rule requirements
• Review and approve journal entries and ensure proper documentation and accuracy
• Support accounting systems, including inventory, accounts payable, and reporting tools
• Monitor data integrity and identify discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Develop, prepare, and distribute financial and operational reports
• Partner with internal teams to improve processes, reporting, and workflow efficiency
• Assist with audits by providing required documentation to internal and external auditors
• Prepare and review reports related to tax filings, regulatory requirements, and special projects

• Strong knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel and Microsoft Word), database reporting software, General Ledger software and the ability to utilize personal computer for financial report preparation.
• Strong understanding of financial/accounting concepts required.
• Motivation to go beyond established guidelines and procedures to improve internal control and workflow.
